This grade of Hickory contains wild color variations and dramatic wood characteristics. The colors range from very dark to nearly white; the grade includes discolored sapwood, heavy dramatic streaks, sound knots, checks and splits. It is a classic rustic/cabin grade of floor. This grade of Hickory is specifically designed for the consumer market. This provides just a touch more character than a traditional Upper Common Grade but not the heavy and dramatic blemishes of Low Grade Common. This makes the floor dramatic but not overly so or contrived.
