1st grade: The face is pratically free of defects, but the varying natural color of the wood is not considered a defect. The face may have minimum pin wormholes, burls, slight imperfections in milling which can be sanded out, as well as small tight knots.
The lumber comes from the Ozark and Boston Mountains in Northwest Arkansas, with a climate and growing conditions very similar to the Appalachian Mountains.
Lengths range from 12" to 96", wih an average of 39".
